When’s the Party?
The Ryde Barn Quilt Trail was created and officially opened in 2014 to celebrate the 135th Anniversary of the founding of Ryde Township.
In 2015 we continued to celebrate the barn quilts and the history of Ryde Township with several exciting events:
February 13 to June 15: Road to Ryde Barn Quilt Display at the Muskoka Boat and Heritage Centre in Gravenhurst
May 15 to August 9: Ryde Heritage Quilt Display at Muskoka Boat and Heritage Centre
June 26 and 27: Spring into Summer Art Crawl in Downtown Gravenhurst featuring Ryde Barn Quilts
Saturday, August 15, 2015 – Ryde Heritage Day -10-4 Live Music with Grant Tingey and Hired Gun, (featuring Johnny Fay, drummer for the Tragically Hip), open mic, displays, vendors and all day pancake breakfast
August 19 to November 17, 2015-Road to Ryde Barn Quilt Exhibit at the Canada Summit Centre, Huntsville
Heritage Day has been celebrated several years since 2015.
Everyone is welcome to take a drive and see these amazing quilt squares at any time!
